Lincoln, England

When I arrived in Lincoln on the 11th December it was dark, the city looked beautiful and I couldn’t resist but take some pictures! The pictures below were taken from outside the Holiday Inn.

Below is a picture of the Christmas tree in Holiday Inn’s reception.

The picture below shows the room I stayed in. I felt the ensuite was in need of some modernising and the bath-tub was too small… I wouldn’t have liked to be a tall person in that bath I’m short and I struggled to get comfy in it.

After arriving in the Holiday Inn we went to an Italian restaurant called ‘Prezzo’ for our dinner. It was a very modern, attractive restaurant however the food wasn’t great and at the end of our meal we all agreed we should have gone somewhere else.

It was Lincoln University‘s open day on the 12th December and whilst being shown around the university I managed to take the two pictures below:

After I visited Lincoln University I went to a ‘Costa Coffee‘ in the ‘Odeon‘ cinema that was across the river from Lincoln University (shown below).

Before leaving Lincoln we drove to the Cathedral, below are the pictures I took:

I recommend you visit Lincoln, when I get the chance to I will be going back to have a better look around.

  1. Having studied at Lincoln for 3 years, you’ve brought back some amazing memories! The one thing they don’t tell you during the Open Day is how bitterly cold the wind is!

    • I’m glad, thankyou for the comment :-) It was very chilly, in the photo of the bridge you can see frost on the grass! I’m thinking about going to Lincoln University next year to study journalism.

      • Yeah it gets like that sometimes. The fun starts when you come back down from Steep Hill after being in the pub for a bit on a day like that! Ah right, a couple of my mates did joint honours with journalism and something else and enjoyed it.
