This Monday I visited the Birmingham NEC with my boyfriend for the Clothes Show Live. The Clothes Show Live is “the UK’s largest and most talked about fashion & beauty event of the year”. We walked to it from the Birmingham Metropole hotel.

We had purchased premium tickets costing us £40 each, the premium tickets give you a fast track entry into the Suzuki Fashion Theatre, a premium seat close to the stage, an Official show goody bag and an Official show guide. I have been to the Clothes Show every year and I have bought premium seats before – I did not think they were worth the money this year at all.

JLS were at the Clothes Show on Monday 10th December, hosts Henry Holland and Grace Woodward introduced the UK’s hottest boy-band at the start of the Suzuki Fashion Theatre show. The boys performed their exclusive new DJ set Live – I would have preferred them to sing one of their songs though… Instead Marvin was spinning the tunes as Aston, Oritse and JB were trying to get the crowd going. It was a high energy mix of RnB and pop music, although due to an accident on the motorway there wasn’t much crowd to get going at the 10am show that I went to.

One of the highlights of the day was watching Times Red perform, I had never heard of them before the Clothes Show and I thought they were brilliant!
When it came to lunch-time we went to the J D Wetherspoon which is in the NEC, I had a club sandwich which was delicious – a little overpriced though. After we had eaten we went to the Lee Stafford to watch him cut and style hair.
Jessica-Jane Clement was also there (shown below) turns out she was actually stood by me at the Lee Stafford stand and I didn’t realise… Jessica-Jane Clement is a British glamour model, actress and TV presenter who is best known for starring in the BBC programme ‘The Real Hustle‘ and for taking part in the 2011 ‘I’m a Celebrity’ (I happen to be a huge fan of her).
After this we purchased lots of Lee Stafford products and had a further look around the show. ‘The Only Way Is Essex‘ star Gemma Collins was also at the Clothes Show Live (shown below) – It was hard to get a photo of her though because she was swamped with fans!
Overall I had a great day and recommend you visit the Clothes Show Live if you’re a bit of a shopaholic! Unless you are a big fan of one of the performers I don’t think you should purchase premium tickets, I’m not a fan of JLS which is probably why I felt my money was wasted a bit.
