Live and Let Live

So after writing the post on Bringsty Common I discovered that a lot of you are interested in the pub that is situated there, the Live and Let Live (www.liveandletlive-bringsty.co.uk). I knew I had to go back there at some point so I could supply you all with more information!

My house has been full of family at the moment so I suggested we visit the Live whilst we were all together – some of the family hadn’t been there before, so my parents (who live on Bringsty Common) were both very eager to show it off! We arrived at the pub at around 5pm, they don’t serve food until 6pm and most likely because the weather has been so poor it wasn’t jam-packed like usual. I asked to have a look around and take some pictures before everyone arrived for their evening meals, below are the pictures I took:

Unfortunately the pictures I took of the upstairs are all a bit dark and I couldn’t get my camera flash to come on. The upstairs is a seating area for the restaurant side of the Live and Let Live – there is also a private room with a stunning lay-out (shown below):

I almost forgot to mention, I had a three course meal. My standard order when I go to the Live is garlic bread, carbonara and chocolate torte – but today I mixed it up a bit, I had: cheesy garlic bread then Gammon Steak with ‘real’ chips, peas, egg and finally for pudding I had 2 scoops of delicious ice cream (caramel and chocolate). There were 9 of us in total, (this includes a 7 year-old and a 2 year-old) and the bill came to just over £150.
