Simos Magic is a small hotel that is situated in the center of Ayia Napa, it is surrounded by bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Simos Magic is only 10 minutes away from a beach and the harbour – Nissi beach however is a short bus trip away (or a long sweatty walk away), the bus is only 1 euro.
The bar known simply as ‘Simos’ was my favourite bar to pre-lash at in Ayia Napa, they sold alcohol by the bucket loads (literally). If you want to stay in the centre of the nightlife then Simos Magic Apartments is exactly where you want to be!
If I ever go back to Ayia Napa I would happily stay here again, the only thing I would change is that I would ask for a high floor instead of staying on the ground floor – this is because I would then have a balcony.
The lady that greeted us on arrival was very friendly and let us check-in early. The only problem we had staying here was that the beds were not all the same height, there were 3 single beds pushed together and they were all different, this was annoying considering my boyfriend and I were staying there – however we only stayed for one night so it didn’t matter that much.
I did notice that the shower was a little dirty but this may have simply been because we checked-in early and they didn’t have enough time for a thorough clean. The shower-room was also very small but for the price and the location you can’t complain.
A picture of the dirt in the shower is shown below (this was after I tried to clean it with a tissue):
If I was to stay here again I am not forgetting to purchase air-con, air-con is a must in Ayia Napa in the summer. I remember having a very sweatty nap the evening I arrived at Simos!
A picture I took of the room is shown below:
This picture shows the wardrobe, the kitchen and part of the third bed (that I was only using to dump my things on) – As you can probably tell from this picture, the apartment was very small! I think that if that third bed wasn’t there it would’ve been more cosy than small and perfect for my boyfriend and I, we both agreed we should have booked Simos for longer.
